USA Hospitality Internship

Program Overview

Incremental Education connects South African students and young professionals with 12-month paid hospitality and tourism internships in the United States through the J 1 Intern and Trainee Visa Program. Participants receive structured, hands-on training at reputable hotels and resorts, gaining international experience and globally relevant skills

Program Description

Each participant is placed in one dedicated department such as Culinary, Food and Beverage, or Front Office for the full program, enabling deeper learning, professional growth, and exposure to high standard U.S. hospitality operations.

Placements are with professional hospitality employers such as hotels, resorts, and high-standard hospitality operations.

Housing is provided by the host company, along with support to secure safe and suitable accommodation.

Professional Support & Protection

Includes medical insurance, pre-departure guidance, and program support throughout your stay.

Eligbility​

Must be between the ages of 18 and 35

Must be able to meet visa and placement requirements

Must be a current full-time student OR be a recent graduate (within 12 months) in hospitality, tourism, or culinary arts, Hospitality, tourism, and culinary students who need work-integrated learning/in-service training

Must be able to cover the required upfront costs associated with the application and travel process

Must be reliable, adaptable, and ready to commit to a 12-month program

Must be able to work professionally in an English-speaking environment

Total Placement fee:

R34 000

This covers the following essential services and support:

Guaranteed placement with top-tier hotels and resorts across the United States

Medical insurance for the duration of your stay

Visa sponsorship documents (DS-2019)

SEVIS fee and U.S. visa application fee

Pre-departure orientation and preparation

24/7 support while you are in the United States

Important: Participants are responsible for booking and paying for their own round-trip airfare. Remaining program fees are paid from the stipend through 10 monthly payments of $250 once employment in the U.S. begins.
